Really?  What would be the logic of keeping a post totally unrelated to the Trophy or even to Triumph in the sub forum entitled "Triumph Trophy"?

I think it was good to have it there especially for some one like me who has narrowed down a possible new bike to a triumph trophy or a BMW1200lt because I would not have found this info anywhere else. While I am on the subject of new bikes I must mention that the Triumph Trophy sales in Australia is not moving as there are now many trumpy trophys (and up to $4000 below original selling price) new for sale I don't know if the dealers are the problem as in Sydney all triumph dealers sell together with Kawasaki GTR or Yamaha FJ or BMW1200 and 1600 certainly these other brand sports touring bikes have not only big followings in Australia but are well looked after with after sales service. only the BMW'S are priced well above the trophy all other sport tourers price hang around the Trophy mark including the ordinary looking Moto Guzzi something or rather(the brown one)

Sure does but as this isn't Triumph related I think it more appropriately posted in "On Two Wheels - Bikers Chat".  perhaps the admin will be kind enough to move the thread.

.... and eventually merge it with the pre-existing one started by Iain? No need for two threads for the exact same topic

Please stop being so 'officious'!!!!!!

We all know that the Trophy and the RT are bracketed together in the touring bike class.

I expect we all looked at the differences and similarities before making our decision and we all look at road tests of new comparable models.
Therefore to post a topic about a problem with one of the 'competition' in the 'general chat' section is entirely logical and understandable.

Just let it lie eh!
