Gone

I read the post be umph and it sounded a lot like what I have to say.  8 Mionths and just could not get comfortable.  Traded the Trophy SE on and Honda CTX1300 one week ago.  Seat is much lower and I feel better about stopping.  I sold the rear trunk on ebay but still have the Seth Laam custom heated seat and Soupy's lowering links listed there, if anyone is interested.  Last time I will list these items.  Thanks for all the great info and stories.    jugbelly

Congratulations on the new bike!

The CTX1300 is a great bike. It is a very different experience than the Trophy.

I really enjoy my CTX, but I've learned not to ride it like a sport bike. It does not handle the twisties anywhere near as well as the Trophy.

The CTX offers Honda reliability. So far, the Trophy has left me stranded twice and the CTX has gotten me to my destination and back home every time.

The CTX is much easier to handle in a gravel parking lot. It's also much easier to back up if you park it with the nose a bit downhill.

When I bought my CTX1300 I wanted to trade the Trophy, but I was only getting low-ball offers. I traded the CTX700D instead and decided to try to get the Trophy fixed. Some day I hope to have all the issues resolved on the Trophy so I can enjoy it the way I enjoy the Honda.

I appreciate all the good thoughts.  The trade was not the best experience financially. but I could not seem to generate any interest when I tried to sell the Trophy.  I never really had any mechanical problems other than a leaking fork seal at a bout 800 miles.  Thanks again
