Trip to the Isle of Man
« on: June 23, 2014, 05:47:22 pm »
Well it's official booked up for the TT 2015, doing the sea cat rather than the ferry crossing. 10 days enjoying what the TT and the Isle of Man brings.

1st bike Yamaha DT125, 2nd bike Yamaha XV535 Virago 3rd bike Honda CBR 1000 F, 4th bike Honda Hornet 600 (story to tell) 5th bike Suzuki B-King 1300, 6th bike Suzuki GSX1250 FA. Then comes the cream of them all the TTSE in Blue the best colour in my opinion ....... :-)

I'm so jealous! Always wanted to go.  Hope you have a great time.  Make sure you keep us posted as the time gets closer.  And take a lot of pics when you are there.

Hi GJ... Should be fun... Out of interest if you don't mind me asking.... What is the cost of a crossing?

Cropbiker I've only paid the deposit of forty pounds as it's being booked and paid for by a friend. I'm sure he said it around £150 to £200 as prices vary. I will check there web site (steam packet) and confirm.

hi Cropbiker.
Two years ago for me, the bike and the girlfriend it cost me around £300 for the return ferry. I should imagine its dearer now. Steam Packet hike the prices up at TT time.  :233:

I went this year (TT2014) and really enjoyed it.  I flew over (too hard to bring the bike from Australia).  Massively expensive.  Flights, accommodation, everything.  But worth every cent.  Probably a once in a lifetime experience for me so the cost isn't a key factor.  I will certainly go again if I ever get the opportunity though.

I'm just not that big a race fan to bother with that expense.... And besides, if I wanted to watch you can see so much more on TV
