Hissing when turning the ignition to on....
« on: June 25, 2014, 01:22:22 pm »
Is this normal.  When I turn the ignition to on, and before starting the bike, there is a slight hissing sound.  It goes off as soon as I turn ignition to off.   I am certainly not mechanical and it seems very normal but before I take it in for first service just wanted to ask

The fuel pump spins up when you turn on the bike.  I wouldn't call it a hissing sound, more like a soft whirring noise.
