Hi all,
Name's Bruce. Just took delivery yesterday of a brand new (well, ex demo actually, but near enough to brand new) 2013 Trophy.
After test riding it on Tuesday, I was convinced that this is the best handling motorcycle I've ever ridden. Admittedly, I don't have a massive back catalogue of previous machines to compare to, but yeah, digging this thing!
I short listed four bikes: Kwaka 1400GTR, Yamaha FJR1300, BMW R1200RT, and the Trophy. Couldn't find a dealer with an FJR available for test rides, so don't know what I missed there.
Anyway, don't have much to say just yet, as I've only had the bike 24 hours, but pretty darn sure I'm gonna love it.
For me, this is a commuting vehicle. My commute is about 70 km in each direction, half freeway, half peak hour suburban crawl.
See ya 'round!
My bike history: (1) c.1982 Honda CT125, (2) c.1986 Yamaha SRX250, (3) 1988 Honda CBR1000FH, (4) 1989 Suzuki GSX-R750 Slingshot, (5) 2012 Suzuki Boulevard M90, (6) 2013 Triumph Trophy SE.

G'day Bruce,

Welcome to the forum. If you think the TTSE is good after a test ride wait until you clock a long distance trip under your belt  :028:. For your commute into Sydney (?) it's no bad stop start but not too good lane filtering (width). On the freeway 'turn up the radio' and go for it.
Wherever you go, there you are.

Welcome Bruce  :821:  Good place for a Trophy with the mix of raods you have up that way.  I will be passing through that way from about 10 to 14 July, coming and going to a Christamas in July event at Uralla so am taking the opportunity to spend some time criss crossing the mountain roads.

It is a bit :190: here lately

Welcome Bruce  :821:

I don't think the FJR has changed much so if you've had one before you know what they ride like.   My son had one.   Nice bike, but the posture is a bit too aggressive for this old body.
