What were the temperatures like?
My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.

It was early morning so it was nice, about 75-80 degrees depending on the elevation. It is a hot time of year to go, fall or spring is better if you can swing it and less crowds as well.
I live in Phoenix  and so I am used to the heat. It was in the high 90's in Southern Utah. When I got home it was 108...yikes that hurts:)
