Photoshoot and VIP Tour Of a Lancaster Bomber
« on: July 04, 2014, 08:07:11 pm »
Date is now confirmed as Friday 29th August.

Hello everyone,

well we might not have got the photo shoot in front of the Vulcan but I have been talking with the people who run the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Trust and they have said they are more than happy for us to go along there and to have pictures taken with our bikes parked in front of one of their Lancasters!!  :046: :046: :046:

Here is a link to their site Lincolnshore Aviation Heritage Trust

I think this should be another great social opportunity for us to meet up and also we get the chance to take some memorable pictures and get up close and personal to another example of great British engineering!

The guys there have said a Friday afternoon is the best time and I have suggested probably middle of August or maybe early September. If guys want to give me some indication of interest and dates that work best for them!

We would get to look around inside the Lancaster in groups of 5 at a time at a cost of £50 a piece which I think includes entry to the park and everything else there. I will confirm what we get for that.

Let me know what you think?

Count me in if dates are when I am home. But if a chance I'll be there.

I hope it will be a Friday I can make.   My father's twin was shot down and killed in the war in a lancaster although my father flew halifaxs.  I have written a short book about it.

The only Friday at the moment I cannot make is 5th September.

Thanks for setting up these trips.

An uncle of mine was a rear gunner on either Lancaster or Halifax. Not sure which but I remember being told when I was a young'un.
Many years years ago :002:

No worries John... I enjoy meeting everyone!

I will definitely avoid 5 th Sept then as you have a personal link to Lancasters!

Cropbiker,

I would be interested, can do most Fridays in August / September.  As you say, good opportunity to meet up with other Trophy owners and see some great British engineering.  I'II keep a look out for developments.    :028:
