Greetings from Chicago
« on: July 11, 2014, 05:07:32 am »
Just purchased 2014 TTSE and live in Chicago.  I looked at several other bikes (BMW R and K, HD) and really liked the TTSE after my first test drive. It certainly isn't a "city" bike, but does handle pretty well in rush hour traffic for a big bike.  I have no plans on doing much city driving 😄

Thanks for all the insight and advice as I perused the forum quite a bit before making my decision.

Looking forward to being a first time Triumph owner!

Welcome to the group!  It appears that Chicago has discovered the TTSE!

I believe we did discover something here. Just hit 300 miles on the break in march.

Thanks for all the well wishes.  Just did about 450 miles last weekend on some beautiful twistee roads in Wisconsin.  The bike handles very well, solid power through turns and never made me feel like I was on a beast of a touring bike.  Hit a little rain and the windshield did a really nice job with rain and wind.  I did notice that the antennae does seem to vibrate on the windshield when the windshield is raised about halfway.  Not sure if i can replace antennae with shorty version.

Thanks again everyone and please let me know if anyone is riding through chicago this summer.  There a very few TTSE's in the area which is kind of nice.
