Might be that the brakes are Nissin built…..   :084:

Since my front disk rotors seem to be warped again by 64K miles, after being replaced by Triumph once only at 34K miles, and loosening the bobbins was only a minor improvement, today I ordered a set of two new EBC front rotors (MD817X) and brake pads (FA423/4HH) for my Trophy as well as the ten replacement M8x1.25 one-time bolts.  Altogether it came to nearly $700, not cheap. They should arrive by the end of next week.  After two seemingly warped front rotors, I decided not buy another pair of Triumph rotors.

Donmo, how about some pics of them? Even installed would be great. Thinking of doing the same.

I can certainly do that after they're mounted on Thursday.  I'm planning to save the stock rotors and pads in case I discover a problem and need to revert back.

Today I had the replacement EBC front rotors and brake pads installed in my dealer's shop. They look nice with gold-colored hubs and the bike now stops smoothly again. Hopefully that problem is permanently solved.

Although I hadn't read it previously, on the EBC box it states that any warranty will be invalid if new brake pads are not installed with the new rotors. There are also instructions to "bed in" the rotors properly by gently braking for about 50 to 60 stops, except in an emergency, of course. I don't recall seeing those instructions when I took delivery of my Trophy. Perhaps I should have gently bed in the rotors when the bike was new and also when I had the rotors replaced under warranty about 30K miles ago.

Attached are photos of the right and left sides of the front wheel.

Yep!  That is correct, at least with all brakes I have ever messed with...  4-wheeled vehicles basically the same thing.  They say the same similar thing about all tires also.   :028:
