About to take the plunge from a Kawasaki 1400GTR
« on: July 20, 2014, 11:07:00 pm »
 :046:
Hello I am Quicksilverwing from Icklesham near Rye in East Sussex.
On Saturday I am collecting my new Trophey 1200se from J S Gedge in St. Leonard's on sea.
Anything I need to know about this bike that I wouldn't have been told?
I am getting off my GTR which I have been all over Europe on and am very excited!
 :001:
In a hundred years who will care anyway? :-D

Welcome, Quicksilverwing.  Have a look at the You Tube review recently posted in the 'Reviews' section by W8td4it. Holds the GTR 1400 against its rivals including the Trophy.

I think you will be delighted with the choice.
Don't grow up, it's a trap...

Hi quicksilverwing and welcome to the forum :400:

You have made a great choice and this is a fantastic place for you to find all about your new ride from people who have collectively 100's of 1000's of riding experience of it!

As you are in the UK you might be interested in a meet we have coming up on Friday 29th August in Lincolnshire to put a few faces to the screen names and a chance to have a photoshoot with our bikes lined up in front of a Lancaster bomber

All the details here

Drop me a message if you fancy it!

Otherwise, safe riding!

:400: to the forum.  Sorry, but you won't be able to ride it for a couple of days.  You will be too busy trying to figure out how to use all the electronic whiz bangs on it.  Then again you may do like I did and just take off and worry about how to set stuff on it later, he he.  :821:

Hi Quicksilverwing, and  :400:  to the Club !

There's LOTS of information and help available in here -
don't be alarmed by what can seem to be a lot of problems !
It is quite usual in a forum such as this !

You will see that there have been a few "teething" problems
but Triumph are working hard at putting them right  :169:

If you do have any problems with your new Trophy, use the "Search" button,
and if you can't find what you need, just post away in an appropriate Section,
and you will soon have a reply ( or several ! ).

Over in the "HOW TO" Section you will find a Topic :
How to check the most common faults & issues
that can often provide the answers  you may need :028:

There's also a "New Purchase Checklist" that you may find interesting  :169:

Hi Quicksilverwing

Welcolme to the forum, I,m just up the road from you in Wittersham so if you want a ride out let me know. I bought mine from Gedges a year ago and Ive had no problems at all, and Gedges I have found to be a nice dealership.

Best of luck with your bike

Roger
