Back on the road
« on: July 26, 2014, 12:38:38 am »
Picked up the Trophy from the dealer today. It spent six weeks in the shop. It kept loosing coolant out of the overflow. The mechanic believes he found the problem. A leaking head gasket (Factory Installed). This was an issue from day one (1/14/2013). After contacting Triumph and stated that I wanted a new bike, due to various issues, it was shopped an inspected. New head, new valves, new intake tubes all factory installed issues. First test run home 100 mi. and no issues. Hope it holds up. Kudos go out to the Triumph dealer in New Orleans, La. (Transportation Revolution) for taking their time and addressing all the issues they found and to Bill Devan at Triumph America, he's one of the few people you can talk to and will do his best to help you.

Carey. Congratulations on getting your bike back with a satisfactory conclusion. Great to hear of such good service and care from a dealer and the global Triumph network!  :460:

:062:  Hopefully a sign of things improving over in the U.S.

Makes a pleasant change to hear Dealers being praised instead of criticised  :047:

I agree with coconut this seems a bit different approach from triumph us from what we have heard before.  Perhaps they are learning or possibly your approach was better to get a good result.

Good to hear and if you have had the bike since January 2013, then you were going to want the new head anyway.
