Another Issue - When will it stop !!!!
« on: August 10, 2014, 02:20:04 am »
I've got 500+ miles on bike since it was brought in for coolant leak issues, new head. valves and assorted other problems. So far so good on coolant issue. Front rotors are warped, Triumph denied the warranty claim. While riding the bike today I noticed a mechanical tapping when I shift gears. After the ride I was cleaning the rear wheel and found a lot of slack in the rear drive. When I spin the rear wheel I hear the tapping noise I heard while riding. I'm kinda scared to ride it to the dealer.

Thanks for the info guys. I will contact Triumph of America myself and try to find out why the claim was denied. In my dealings with them I'm aware of only two people that are willing to help. The others just blow smoke.
After further investigating the clacking noise I hear, it is coming from the area where the drive shaft is connected to the engine/transmission. I will keep ya'll posted.

I hear a clacking noise when I shift gears, I think its the slop in the driveshaft being take up after releasing the clutch.
