SE only for US and Canada (Kick Start Topic)

Apparently only the SE model will be available in the US and Canada at launch.

Whether this will change and incorporate the base model later we're not sure.

How do you guys feel about that ?

I'm not surprised. Triumph tend to make only their higher-speccd versions available here. For example, you can't get non-ABS Tigers. But since Triumph is still very cost-competitive, the fact they only sell the higher-spec deosn;t seem to hurt them. The Triumph deal in my area of full of happy, plump salesmen
