Battery Advice Please

To access the battery, what kind of "fasterner" does the OwnerManual means. Is that a allen bolt or those pressure stud pins?

And, can one stick a battery charger cable into the TT battery by just simply removing that upper panel next to the right mirror? (on Page 148 of the OM)

It's an Allen bolt. The allen keys are in the toolkit.

Yes you can, but its way easier to plug it in to the socket on the left side of the engine bay.

Did you get a bike then? I understood you were holding off for a 2014 model.

what do you mean by using the auxiliar plug? I am thinking in case the battery is DOA. I will need to jump it with an external jump cable. I got one I can plug into the wall outlet

Yea, you'll be able to jump start it, should you need to, by removing that cover. You'll need pretty dainty clips though. A bump start might be quicker and easier if you've got any kind of slope available.
