Gone and done it now
« on: August 29, 2014, 12:58:56 pm »
Hi all,
Well i have to sign up now don't I!  Ive been lurking around here for the past two weeks and this seems to be the place to be to chat about the TT.

Been eying up a Trophy at the local dealer, and having put the deposit on it a couple of weeks back, i have just gone and signed the final papers...just need to insure it now!
Just a bit of background...Ive been a Triumph boy for the past 13 years with my Sprint St (955) and its come to the time when i want a bit more comfort.  Not sure if if its a swear word here, but Ive been riding around on R1200RTs for the past couple of years, and was gonna get me one of those...but when I saw the TT, it was an easy decision to stay with Triumph.

So i collect my brand new pride and joy next Thursday with the new registration.

So next job is to print off Coconut's fantastic guide and get my adventure bars ordered.

Congats on your purchase.   I don't think RT is a swear word as long as you swear off of them :745:

I too am a convert from the RT. I won't knock the Beemer as it served me well, but I do like the Trophy more.

Yep, I just came off an R1200RT too. I tried to buy as new one, but... well you know... I couldn't due to the ESA problem and BMW's decision not to import non-ESA bikes into the US. I am not regretting the move to the Trophy.

Hi Autopilot and welcome - I had a '58 plate RT for nearly a year. Just couldn't get the hang of riding it smoothly, so I bought a TT
