potential iPhone disaster
« on: September 15, 2014, 12:46:48 am »
This morning I headed into the office to prepare for tomorrow. I had my phone and glasses when I went into the garage but about halfway into the commute I noticed I didn't have my glasses on and no phone either. I hoped I had left them both on the seat of my wife's scooter while I was putting on my helmet. It's what I do.
When I got home the glasses were there but no phone. I had feared that I'd put the phone on the seat of the TTSE. I looked and couldn't find my phone in the house or garage. I looked in the driveway and street near my house.
Finally I used the Find my iPhone app and it said the phone was about a mile up the road. I set out looking at the side of the road and eventually found it in the weeds near the road. Better yet it didn't have a scratch and all was in perfect working order. My rinky dink case apparently did it's job quite well.
Lucky or I'd be out buying an iPhone 6.
My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.

That was luck! A mate lost his Zumo 660, fell on the road. Seemed to survive the fall, but not the truck that then ran over it...

You are lucky indeed.  Ive invested in a Life Proof but still I wouldn't give odds on it surviving a fall from a moving bike!

Will the TTSE work with newer versions of iPhone? Or just the 4s?
Ride!!

I think you were subliminally wanting an iPhone 6 and losing your phone would have been that catalyst!

I use an iPhone 5, works a treat.

Later
