How wide when the panniers are fitted ?
« on: September 15, 2014, 08:14:38 am »
Courtesy of our fellow Trophy owner friends over on the Farcebook page,
here's a little reminder of remembering how wide your bike is when the panniers are fitted.

( OK it's an FJR but the principle applies to Trophy riders too  :138: )

Just an interesting fact. A mate has an opening through to his large shed in the back yard. The Trophy with bags on fits through with a little space to spare. A Goldwing 1800 has about the same width when going through the same opening.

Not exactly on point but humorous and related.  My wife has a Honda Odyssey.  My daughter drives my Silverado pickup truck (I know it's big but if there is an accident she won't be the one hurt).  When the two of them park in the driveway in front of the garage I can't get Trophy out between them  :110: unless I take off the panniers.    But when I park either of the vehicles (especially the truck) I can ride the bike between the two.

The presence of mind of the cameraman is outstanding. Rather than drop the camera and rush to the journalist's aid, he carries on filming accurately to the very end - panning from left to right, then top to bottom.

Truly a professional!
