Hello all,
Have owned my new Trophy SE since July 2014 and must say I have been impressed with the whole package. I traded in my old Triumph Trophy 1200 (2002) which I owned for 7 years and enjoyed riding also. I am now just over comparing the old with the new. The overwhelming improvement for me (And the wife) is the comfort and handling and of course the almost halving in fuel consumption.
Wife and I have just returned from a 2700 mile trip through France and the Spanish Pyrenees. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The Trophy performed really great and noticed that I could ride all day and not feel too tired something that was not possible on the old Trophy.
I now look forward to using the forum as a member and reading all the interesting comments and stories.

:401: from a fellow owner in the north west. Glad you enjoy the Trophy as much as me. Did a similar trip to you last year on a GS adventure. I can imagine that blasting up and down the pyrenees on a Trophy would be absolutely epic. Did you measure fuel consumption for your trip ?

Yes, I logged the fuel usage. It calculated around the same as the computer fuel usage. really pleased with the fuel economy particularly being a heavy bike fully loaded with wife on board. Also, riding in the Pyrenees, much time was spent in second and third gear.
One aspect that surprises me about the new Trophy is that it weighs heavier than the old one. Don't quite know how Triumph managed that, considering all the alloys / Aluminum used on the new bike. Anyway it really is not an issue as it rides superbly.
