ACF50?
« on: September 18, 2014, 06:26:16 pm »
Tomorrow I have my TTSE booked in with my local All Year Biker (http://allyearbiker.co.uk/) representative for a good clean and application of ACF50.

I have done this before with my Harley's using ACF50 can spray.  The cans cost almost £20, the All Year Biker treatment is £60.  I watched him do a demo bike, the local Blood Bike, the other night and was impressed with how clean he got the bike, then how dry he made it and missed where he actually applied the ACF50 but apparently he uses a high pressure atomizer so the mist is very fine and penetrates all internals.

I'll report back tomorrow.

Any one else 'winterise' their bikes?  In the UK we get a lot of road salt laid down during the winter and as I use my bike whenever I can felt this £60 a reasonable investment.

Interesting web site.  Wonder if there is anything similar in the US, more specifically Texas?

Now there is a thought.  I've been thinking of getting out of the lawyering business.  :008:

What the heck is ACF50?
My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.

Google is your friend!  Anti Corrosion Formula.  It was developed in the aircraft industry to combat corrosion.  I think it leaves a protective film on metal surfaces.

A while ago I used Waxoil to do the same thing but that was very messey, ACF50 is a more hi-tech product doing the same sort of thing.

I do a lot of international with several cases in the UK.  I can tell you that English lawyers (good ones anyway) make a ton of money.
