New in Southeast GA
« on: September 20, 2014, 01:18:53 am »
Hey all, was waiting on posting until I got some pictures to go with the post.

Anyways,

Couple weeks ago I traded in my 2007 Honda VTX1300r for a 2014 Trophy SE in Pacific Blue.

At the time of this post, I only have about 750 or so miles on the bike, and even still, they are some great miles.  Loving the bike thus far, and is leaps and bounds better than the VTX was as far as comfort, handling, and daily rideability.  The only thing that gets to me at this moment is the low voltage message that I get (I have seen the thread on it).  It only happens when I make multiple short trips in a short period of time.  But the bike can sit for a few days and start first time with no issues.

On to the pictures:

Welcome. You have a beautiful bike, it looks just like mine!
Good to have you on board. Once you leave a cruiser and get a sport tourer there is no going back.
My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.

Hi there and welcome..... :400:

For the vast majority the low voltage thing is just an overly sensitive start procedure in my opinion. Not to decry the few who have had real problems with faults causing battery drains.

It is a big engine and needs a lot to turn it over and bike batteries are always so small! When you crank it that low voltage comes on. It would be so easy to adjust the software to switch off the audio and not show that message while the starter is being cranked!
Triumph Trophy! Not for every Tomaz, Dieter or Herman!🇬🇧

:400: Gonzo and don't worry about that low voltage thing, mine does it all the time.   Just push that little round button with your left thumb and wallah it's all gone.
