too much wind noise
« on: September 22, 2014, 09:44:49 pm »
:087: Joined before I go mad with all the wind noise with my Triumph Trophy 2003. Nearly went wind surfing along the Medway when I went over Medway bridge on way to London. What can I do? My ZZR1100 was so much better, it must be curable please, before I sell this new toy I have bought :183:

welcome aboard  :821: that's an easy one: trade the 2003 Trophy for a 2014 one! and you'll get an extra bonus since this forum is chiefly geared to the newest version of the Trophy!

I have a 2013 and it is noisy.  What is the difference in the 2014?

I am sorry, I thought the earlier poster had a 2013 and said it was noisy.  That said, my 2013 is noisy unless I raise the windscreen all the way up and duck behind it.  I need to wear earplugs under the helmet or it is deafening.

That is the point of the adjustable screen... I ride with it quite high and it is a sheltered cocoon of quiet, but move the screen down even just a couple of centimetres and it does get windier and therefore noisier. In the right place I don't need ear plugs! Experiment with your screen height.
