Has anybody else had problems fitting the genuine trophy tank bag

No mate haven't bought one  :745: :745:

Seriously I think you'll have to remove the mount off the bike to fit the forward mounting strap and then refit the mount.

thanks for that.  Just picked up the bag ten minutes ago and going to install tonight.  With the help of a Guiness or two :)

Sure did.  Installed without a hitch.  Guiness consumed.

Hello,

If you have a closer look at the Touratech home page there is a tank bag for the Trophy for 199 Euro.
Looks a little bit softer than the Triumph genuine one and they give advice to use the paint safety kit...

But the genuine Triumph one is £150 and clips to the tank, why do you think the Touratech one is preferable? Or were you just suggesting an alternative?
