Hello everyone,

The Trophy is my third Triumph, before that I rode a Tiger 900i and a Speed Triple 955i, both very good bikes.

But the Trophy is in my opinion the best of the three, it combines the comfort of the Tiger and the speed of the speed triple. However, due to its weight I would like to have a bit more oomph from the engine especially in the mid- and top end range.

Are there any options for more power rather than a complete engine rebuild?  To my knowledge there is no power commander for the Trophy, but similar product might exists where I'm not aware of.

Regards in advance.

Regards,

Ton Verkleij

Welcome.... It is just a case of getting used to the beast... I can't say I have really noticed any lack of oomph! :400:

I know what you mean I thought it felt a bit dead compared to the 1050 engine. I now ride around in 5th most of the time (if you had an FRJ you do all the time) it feels more lively and it seems to make very little difference to the fuel consumption. Keep the revs up and it goes quit well. I wonder if this is a detuned version of the 1200 Blackbird Busa rival Triumph developed but never put into production

Highly unlikely; the "Hurricane" was a 4 cylinder bike....

PS: What a great name "Hurricane". Like "Trident", both are wasted  :110: At least Triumph don't resort to using meaningless strings of initials....  :038:
