Search fixes via engine number
« on: October 26, 2014, 01:44:05 pm »
Hi.

I notice that there are a list of 'fixes' around dependent on engine number.  Might sound like a daft question, but where does the original info come from, is there a URL on the Triumph site or somewhere.

I have an early 2014 model engine number 609354.

I just want make sure everything has been done that I'm entitled to have done under warranty.

regards

Garry

Just contact your dealership and ask them to run the VIN through their system...

They will tell you if anything is outstanding

AFAIK, recalls can be done well after the warranty expires. Those are safety issues. TSB's might expire, but I am not sure how that works with Triumph.

See here for some other useful info.

Garry,
There used to be a TRIUMPH website where you could enter your VIN for applicable Service Bulletins or Recalls but unfortunately no longer available to normal mortals.
Your VIN is outside the range (up tot 602960) for the updated top end SB but in range for the ECU recall.

I'd be careful about relying on the dealer to tell you what TSBs might be on your bike.  That is unless you know and trust the dealer well.  A lot of TSBs only come into play when the customer complains.  Some of the dealers don't seem to know about unless they have experienced a complaint already.  I know from experience because I've had two local dealers deny there was a TSB on my bike when I KNEW there was.  I knew because my brother in NY is a dealer and he told me.  Only when I gave the local dealers the TSB numbers did they concede there was in fact a TSB.  Happened twice.  Without my brother as a resource I could have been deceived/screwed by the local dealers.

Which two TSB's did they claim to not know about?

What can you tell me about the gear indicator TSB? I have not heard about that one--just the gear lever position.
