Laminar lip fitted
« on: October 26, 2014, 06:33:40 pm »
Have fitted a laminar lip to my screen, have been suprised by just howmuch difference it has made. i'm 6'8" tall and even with the taller screen fitted found that buffetting and wind noise weren't good, with the lip fitted can now here the stereo at over 80mph. Well impressed.

Pictures would be awesome. I am 5"10 and need a couple more inches of real estate up top. At, least to expand the adjustment range. If i duck down a couple of inches at 70mph it quiets down subsantially. Do you think the lip would help?

Do you ride looking through the top of screen at all and does the laminar lip affect clarity of vision in this respect ? I have read that they reduce buffeting for the pillion and keep thinking I should give one a try because although generally ok to live with  I reckon the Trophy wind noise is worse than my previous  st1300 Pan with a flip screen or GS Adventure.

The only problem I had with the stock screen was a lot of turbulence when running over 65 around trucks.   My son had a laminar lip he was not using so I gave it a try.  It really helped.  It is ugly, but I'd rather have a smooth ride.  I do not look through it.  I am 6' 4" and my height is in my torso so I st pretty tall in the saddle.
