Couldn't tell you... I never listen to the radio on the move.... Always got the iPhone on shuffle... Only time I listen to the radio is when I am on my drive washing the bike or doing any work.

Actually the reception AM and FM on my radio is not too bad considering the remote areas I ride through. However, like Cropbiker I tend to use the iPhone music on shuffle once on the wide open road.

I had poor radio reception post ECU upgrade due to the technicians not correctly reconnecting plugs. Might be worth a look? Alternatively a bigger and possibly better antenna?

:187: Not much worse than travelling tye same roads in the car. I did wonder if the antenna whipping about made any difference riding through ge recent blustery weather.

I encounter very few reception issues, and can always attribute them to our Hill Country terrain or heavy foliage in some areas.  On my K1600 that I had though, there was a particular area on a main highway near a state highway agency that would always cause interference with my audio/bluetooth system.  I think it must have been a very strong base radio signal of some sort if that's even possible.  The reasons are way beyond my ability to understand in radio transmission technology.

I am sure my radio was worse until I took it all to bits and wired in the gps.  I am sure the routing of the aerial lead behind the dash is important and can pick up interference easily.

My theory (based on no knowledge) is that it is a ground plane antenna and there is no ground plane near the base of the aerial!  But as I say based on no knowledge they say a little knowledge is a bad thing what about no knowledge???

Sometimes I wonder how I got so old knowing so little.
