Greetings from Louisiana!
« on: November 01, 2014, 05:29:59 pm »
I've been interested in the TTSE since it was announced.  I bought my first road bike (2012 Suzuki V-Strom Adventure) in 2012 and have enjoyed learning to ride.  A friend and I took a trip from New Orleans to Yellowstone in 2013 and I've become hooked on long distance touring.  While the V-Strom performed great, it left me wanting more….more power, more wind protection and more comfort.  After researching all of the "Sport and Adventure Touring" bikes, I kept coming bake to the TTSE.  I went to the Triumph dealer in New Orleans (great bunch of guys) and scheduled a test ride on a 2013.  Big mistake!  The TTSE was everything I'd hoped it would be…powerful, great wind protection and very comfortable!  I thought the weight would be an issue but I didn't have any problems moving it around.  I was amazed at how light the handling was.  Anyway, they said they would give me a "great deal" on the 2013 I test rode.  Based off of the information I've gained here, I think I'll wait for a 2015.

Cheers... :821:

:400: to the forum.  My 2013 is still working like a charm after fork seals and ECU replacement early on.  No other issues except things intruding on riding time.

Nola,

Welcome.

They test ride always gets them.

Most of the problems with the 2013 Trophy are known and can easily be sorted out. How good a deal will they offer you? It might be worth dealing with a few issues.

However, you can't go wrong with the 2015!
My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.

I agree with Bludy L. I saved 3000 bucks getting a 3013 leftover. All issues fixed. Bike is awesome.  Welcome.
