My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.

wouah! hard to believe,  here 30 miles north of Paris (France), it's still 17°c (63°F)! Guess it's time for "winterization"?

brrr...not looking forward to that down here in VA, but I know it's coming...

Have you seen the latest issue of Spirit "online" Magazine by Triumph?  Cool article about riding to the North Pole latitude to see the Northern Lights on an Explorer and Tiger 800.  ...check out the nails they used for traction in their tires...time for a set?

I used to live in Austin and worked in Houston many  times.  The humidity in Summer is horrendous, used feel the sweat coming out of the ends of my fingers at 8 am in the morning.

But must agree, winter weather in TX  is unbeatable. I was always glad to get back to the low humidity of Austin though. :017:

In the SF Bay area, you can ride all year, every year. I only had a motorcycle (or two) and motorcycle  only driver's license for several years in the late 60's and early 1970's.

However, the SF area traffic isn't the safest to ride in, especially these days. I will soon have all four of my bikes at my two Reno, NV  homes. Here the weather can be too hot in the summer and too snowy in the winter, but a much better and safer riding area when the weather is reasonable.

I think I would rather have somewhere where the riding season is all year round and take more care on the city roads than have half my year unrideable.... Given a choice
Triumph Trophy! Not for every Tomaz, Dieter or Herman!🇬🇧
