How to post a hyperlink in text
« on: November 02, 2014, 05:21:10 pm »
I know how to post a hyper link with the "world and paper" icon, but I'm having trouble posting one in the text I want to write.  In other words I seem to be able to post a URL just fine but if I want to say something like "click here for info on how to post a hyper link" and have that be the text that shows as the link, I'm unable.

I know it can be done, I've seen posts with text as hyperlinks instead of the URL, but can't figure out how to do it myself.

I have both Mac and PC and don't seem to be able to get either work in this capacity.

Thanks for any help.

Hi Turbo.... what you want to do is this

{url=http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/} BBC News {/url} and replace the  curly brackets with square brackets and it will look like this

BBC News
Triumph Trophy! Not for every Tomaz, Dieter or Herman!🇬🇧

Both replies very helpful...thanks.  not sure I would have figured out the square brackets from the FAQ but maybe if I'd looked a bit and played around...at any rate, thanks again.  :028:  :001:
