TPMS Error

With 8000 miles and 8 months ownership of a new Trophy the TPMS is indicating a TPMS Battery Low- rear tyre. According to the manual this indication should disappear after approx 8 seconds but this doesn't happen and it stays on all the time, the pressure indicator still indicates the pressure. A bit of research and this looks like these batteries should last years and not months so have spoke to the dealer this morning who agreed and says that he will speak to Triumph about it, disappointingly that was at 9 o'clock this morning and they have not rang me back so another call tomorrow to see what they recommend. Anyone else had this issue?

G'day Terry,
My front TPMS started randomly indicating low battery about nine months ago. Usually indicates first up and when it's cold. I acknowledge via pressing the I button and the rest is tickety-boo. Agree these things should last more than 12 months. Generally the same response [or lack of] from Triumph Australia.
As a cost benefit I may just go with installing a Garmin Zumo 590LM with tyre pressure sensors some time in the future.

Yes, and at less than 500 miles. Repaired during 500 mile service under warranty and the problem never returned. Now more than 8,000 miles on bike.

I had a low battery warning on front and rear Sunday morning when it was about 34 degrees (F). when i restarted later at about 45 degrees, no message.
Batterys have less charge when cold.
Also got low voltage radio off message and the windshield did not work for 4 or 5 minutes. I'm going to replace the stock YUSA battery.

I've had two replaced under warranty in 18 months, both on the front. Not reassuring since they are pretty expensive to buy on your own dime. Triumph actually had the dealer move the defective sensor to the other wheel to test before springing for the replacement. Seemed like a lot of effort to me.

That isn't encouraging. Who are you using for a dealer? I'm not all that thrilled with my local dealer.
