it's a rubber ring that protects the helmet while you work on it ie fit blue tooth clean etc

I have seen my friend who owns Just Helmets use one when he worked on my lid, Peter will tell you if they are available, could not see them on his site:

But send him an eMail and he'll tell all.

I suspect they are supplied by helmet manufacturers for their distributors.
