Christmas day 1500 mile dash
« on: November 26, 2014, 08:45:16 pm »
At 12:05 am, on 25dec, im going to attempt to ride 1500 miles in under 24 hours, (max 36).
Im doing this too raise money and awareness for the charity soldiers off the street.
Ive been homeless over christmas, its not fun, and since leaving the military, ive camped on a fair few sofas.
At this moment life for me is ok.
So i want to help the ex-service men and women, for whom life at the moment isnt ok.
Hopefully, ill be able to help give them back what they deserve.
RESPECT,DIGNITY, HOPE and somewhere too call HOME.
these people at some point have potentially put everything on the line for us.
If you can, please donate at
Www.virginmoneygiving.com/mark-moped-anderson

If i get enough money, ill do the ride in a santa suit, and PIG will get a red nose

Hi Sneezy,

Yet another worthy cause  :047:

I already know your honourable reputation from other challenges you ave completed for charity,
so I have no hesitation in recommending that all of our Members make a donation,
and will be doing so myself  :169:

Cheers and Good Luck with the ride - do you have a route planned yet ?

No route yet, but its going to be mainly motorways, for ease of fuel.
Got a few mates already volunteering to be at fuel stops with hot drink and mince pie. :017:

Trip down to the south east and do the M25 in both direction would be a good motorway.I beleive someone has done this in a car but it hasnt been done on a bike yet.  :152:

Good luck and hope the weather holds up for you, my donation to follow.

A great cause, Sneezy. Would you be able to post approximate times for your route, although I suppose the weather may play a role?
