Price ? what will it be ?
« on: July 27, 2012, 05:27:49 PM »
As always price is going to be key to the success of the new Trophy.

Already there is much speculation with comparisons to BMW's 1200 RT counterpart.

The base model is expected to be under £14,000 but in comparison the basic model will also sport extras such as the traction control as standard.

We will find out soon but whats your view ?

Living in the states, It sounds like I will only see the SE model. This is fine with me since it has most of the options I would like anyway. Still, what will the price premium be? I was told by my local dealer that pricing would be available by the end of September so we do not have long to wait now. If this bike is priced right, I really believe that the Trophy SE can up stage the BMW 1200 RT here in the states. Here is to hoping that Triumph prices the Trophy SE like they want to make a big impression on the sport touring market  :821:

I.m hoping it'll be close to the price of the RT - even with the add ons. You can now get GTR 14's for around £11,000, so the Trophy needs to be keenly priced - especially given that pure touring bikes have lost a vast chunk of their market to uber Trailies.

I have been informed from my dealer that the price will be $19,999 here in Canada. Not sure if that includes bags etc.
