Australia - Snowy Mountains ride
« on: January 05, 2015, 12:33:51 am »
Planned Sunday ride, 5 hours, 350k's, NSW Snowy Mtns Region, 2 Trophy forum members meet up

The snowy mountains hydro scheme http://www.snowyhydro.com.au/energy/hydro/snowy-mountains-scheme/

Here is the route we took  https://www.triumph-trophy.com/index.php/topic,3400.14.html
Nice day for a ride, roads relatively clear which was good as many of them are single lane bitumen with no centre line, but lots of corners from 15kph switchbacks up.

And here we are.

One dirty Trophy (mine) in foreground, fortunately it does not show too much in the photo

One of the stops

With two blue Trophys

Good pics.  Was that Little Tumut Pond?  We met a guy with a silver Trophy SE from Frankston when we were in Jindabyne about the time of your ride who was doing a similar ride with his wife.

Yes, it was the small one. Tumut Pond Dam.

I should have put this link in that goes through the Snowy Mountains Hydro scheme, as it is an amazing bit of engineering.
