My Grandfather was a foreman in the original Marmite factory in Burton on Trent. As a little boy I used to visit. Boy did that yeast stink!!

That said, Marmite is in my blood.

I have sampled Canadan cuisine many times as I have relatives not far from you (London, Kitchener, Brantford). The pick of Canadian food is definitely waffles and maple syrup.

Love: steaks, chicken, curries and chinese food, good malt whisky
Hate: marmite (!), seafood, nouvelle cuisine

Favourite: roast beef Sunday dinner with yorkshire pudding (I'm originally from East Yorkshire) and all the trimmings.

Hungry now so off for lunch!  :821:

Hey BP I was born n raised about six miles south of Brantford , tis a small world , lots of relatives in that neck of the woods ...
And yes nothing beats a good prime rib roast n Yorkshire with all the fixins ...!  :821:
