Zumo 660 - good price
« on: February 10, 2015, 07:36:48 pm »
Hi folks.  The Zumo 660 is going for a pretty good price at the moment.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Garmin-Zumo-660-Motorcycle-Motorbike-GPS-SATNAV-UK-Full-Europe-2015-Maps-/121423436008?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1c456698e8

I have no affiliation to this vendor.

Good spot, and Thanks for shaorung, but note that these are Factory reconditioned units
and do NOT have the Lifetime Map updates which would cost extra from Garmin -
e.g. £74.99 for "nuMaps Lifetime Europe".

I use my regular car GPS on my bike and have no problem with it been doing it for the last 3 years the only disadvantage is that it's not waterproof but a clear plastic bag works pretty good

I have just had a new 660LM fitted. I have plugged into my computer which says device detected but nothing else has happened. Does it take a long time to swap info with the computer?

Hi

Suggest you install the Garmin software first if you haven't yet.

http://www8.garmin.com/support/download.jsp

Connection however should only take a minute or so first time so the computer recognizes the USB device. After the first time, connection is pretty much instant.

Just like this site, I've also found the Zumo Forum very helpful in the past.
