I was curious about installing an alarm in my 2013 Trophy SE. There are two models, one with the letters SRA associated with it for more money. What is the difference?

The Datatool S4 Alarm is the Thatcham Category1 approved alarm for the Trophy / Trophy SE.

"SRA" refers to the French approval process for this alarm.

So - silly question, why are they selling SRA versions in the states? And for more money? Am I missing something?

one of the worst thing i bought for my bike. it is a royal pain to use.

Is the concern this specific alarm? The reason I was looking was a combination of concern leaving the motorcycle where I work combined with wishes for warmer weather....

For what it's worth my advice is to buy a lock with an alarm on it.

I never bother with bike alarms... I have never heard a good thing said about them.... To a rider everyone says they are a PITA
