Big hello from Aussie newby
« on: February 26, 2015, 01:29:54 pm »
Bought a new TTSE two weeks ago. GREAT BIKE. Already clocked up 1000+ k's and itching to do more.
A number of people asked me why I chose a british bike over some of the more common bikes we have here in Australia and to be honest, I was not able to say much more than it rode and handled better than most others I had ridden. That answer seemed to be acceptable to my non rider friends, but fell far short for those who thought I should not have bought until afer extensive research, technical comparisons and reading countless reviews. For their benefit I felt compelled to add that I also relied on my past experience with British technology. My first car was a Morrie lowlight, closely followed by two high lights and a panel van, an MG TD, two series 2A and one series 3 Landrover, a gray Fergy and a Welsh wife of 40+ years. Still have the 2A, Fergy and wife. I rekon that if I get half the mileage out of the TT that I have out of the others, then I have to be on a winner.

Welcome Robwebb. I'm curious - how many miles did you get from a Welsh wife? Mine is struggling, and I'm considering a trade-in...

Welcome.

Lots of power, handles great, beautiful. Sound reasoning.
My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.
