Honestly can't expain how moved I am
« on: March 05, 2015, 11:53:34 pm »
My youngest stepson just called from Houston to say he's coming up this weekend to take me to get a new tire on the Trophy.  It had a forming nail through it that the sealant nor a plug would seal and has been parked for a while seeing as how I'm on a fixed income.  I was waiting for a break in obligations to get a tire and was considering changing it myself at that time to save money, but now it's suddenly not an issue.  When I called the dealer they matched the on-line best price I could find (they weren't very far off with their sales price anyway), so I reserved a PR4GT and will have it mounted and balanced, along with installation of my my rear TP sensor under warranty that they have received, on Saturday morning. Hats off to Lone Star Cycles (Specifically Scott in service dept) in Austin Texas.  Unbelievable to have stepchildren like this, never having had any children of my own.  I'm so grateful and absolutely speechless that he would do this for me.
Here's wishing you as great a family as I have.  :821:

I really don't know what I've done to deserve it.

 Trophied.
I have just had a new PR ANGEL GT FITTED they now do the (A) standard on the front
The A is marked on a circle on the tyre it is for heavy touring bikes. Both front and rear.
Let your dealer know as some do not and just get normal GT grand tourismo

I fitted Pirelli Angel GT's to my K1600 before I traded it, and they felt better than the Metzeler Z8's, but almost everyone on the K1600 forum that has changed tires is running Pilot Road 4 GT's due to the weight, and the dealer told me the Trophy is on  the bubble weight wise for GT's so it would be better to use those for mileage benefits.  They had the standard PR4's and the GT's in stock at almost the same price, so for pennies difference I took the GT (rear only right now, front later).  There was a big discussion over on the K website about how to determine the Pirelli Angel GT's "A" spec vs the standard as the designation it not really obvious on them.  As I recall there is a letter "A" on the standard Pirelli, but it is not in the right location to mean it's the "A" spec tire, that is a different location on the tire.  There's a picture somewhere showing the differences.  Tomorrow is the big day, then I just need to get the bike back up to them to put it on the computer to make the new sensor work and life is good.  :001:
