Engine stall at idle
« on: March 09, 2015, 09:16:04 am »
Anybody had similar problem like in attached video ?
Engine stop especially when radiator fan is enabled.
No other engine problems - at normal ride, engine doesn't stop at idle.

Hi pajed,

Good video - much better than trying to explain in words  :047:

Haven't seen that before - I don't think it wil be anything too serious,
maybe need to get the Throttle bodies balanced ?

Did you manage to sort out a decent dealer ?

Cheers  :821:

Hi Coconut,

I will call today to the dealer for more details.
Engine is almost brand new ~3000 km .
Maybe it's fuel problem - motorcycle has not started 4 months ?

Hi Pajed. As the bike has not been started for a while I would certainly suspect a fuel degradation issue.
Triumph Trophy! Not for every Tomaz, Dieter or Herman!🇬🇧

Fill the tank and give it a good thrashing  :152:

I've not had the opportunity in the last two months to operate my '12 TTSE at anything like 17 degrees C , ambient, but I notice the Coolant Temp Indicator shows 5 blocks - that's when the Cooling Fan on mine chimes in, stuck in traffic, even in Winter...

The Tickover (Idle) looks to be below 1000 rpm. Why do you need to blip the throttle so much ?
Is that the only way it will run ?
Is the Battery Fully-Charged ?

In which case I'd get the Throttle Bodies checked and balanced.

If all else fails, do as "malcolm" suggests... :038:

also make sure that you are running Regular gas, not Premium.
