Zumo 665 or Trophy Sat
« on: March 12, 2015, 01:09:16 am »
I am putting a Zumo 665 on my new Trophy. For best XM radio results, which would better. Running the Zumo through the Trophy system for XM radio or use the XM built into the trophy. Barry

For four years now, I've been using my Zumo 665 with XM radio, traffic and weather all the time, but especially on tour. When I bought the Trophy, I didn't even activate its XM, since it doesn't provide any weather radar or traffic data. Traffic in my area isn't much of an issue, but weather certainly is and I really like having the ability to see how my route may intersect with bad weather ahead. The Bluetooth link between my Zumo and my Sena 20S headset lets me clearly listen to music and the turn-by-turn directions.

Good, sounds like the way I will go. I had Nav Weather on the built in system on my 2012 Wing and it was certainly a huge plus. Barry

I've had a Zumo 665 for many years, and I transferred it to the TT shortly after I bought it.  I use the XM built into the Trophy - it works great.  I listen to XM daily ( I have the Sena 20s as well), and it sounds better in my helmet than the XM ever did in my car!  I don't listen to weather, as we don't have any weather here!
