    1st years service

Took the bike up to Wood's Abergele for 1st year service the bike had 7000 on the clock 146 can't grumble at that :002:. My GS the last of the air cooled Boxers was 300at 6000 miles as they have the twin cam engine. :161:

Now my problem is do I sell the Trophy and GS and by a KTM Super Adventue my gripe with them is they are chain drive, the dealer shot that down in flames by offering free chain and sprocket when it went in for servicing.
    What a dilemma.

I couldn't imagine going from a Trophy to something like a KTM Super Adventure.... No amount of freebies would persuade me that is a good swap!

Is there anything about the Trophy that has made you particularly unhappy? You sound very pleased with it when talking about the servicing costs.
Triumph Trophy! Not for every Tomaz, Dieter or Herman!🇬🇧

My first year service cost 520 with only 6000 on the clock.  I moaned about it on here and some thought it was a fair price... Now I know I wasn't losing my marbles

I think the Trophy is a fantastic bike and I properly have the best of both worlds a tourer in the Trophy and a B road fun bike in the GS.

Was just thinking of one bike to do the job.

It's also good to get other people's views.

Think I'm suffering from spoilt kid syndrome  :001:

It's great when you retire to have such terrible problems and choices :002:

OK I went to the TT from a GL1800 Goldwing and a F800 GS. The F was great on the roads you mentioned. However I went from two to one and yes the TT does it all  :047: OK may be a bit heavier (lots) than the GS but scores with the weather protection and it does run through the B roads very well due to it's agility.

I do not regret moving to one an I can still put SHMBO on the back and tour.
    It wasn't me !!

Just take the panniers off lower the screen and you will be surprised how sporty it feels on the B roads and it is no wider than a GS 990 mm or KTM 980 mm Trophy 975 mm

Tc, I know what you're going through. I also just looked at the 1290 Super Adventure at the Dallas show and thought "WOW". Not sure how much wind protection one would get from that windshield but the way the tank is designed it would give the same lower body protection as the Trophy. I wish they would have one you could test ride, but none of the dealers are going to have one stateside until late April or early May from what the rep told me. That sucks!
