Ooh Er Matron, hope that's nothing too serious...

Has it been in for any work or servicings recently, get used regularly or been jet-washed ?

10,000 mile service was last year, does get used quite a lot 15,600 miles in just over a year, never ever use a jet wash on bikes, far to powerful on exposed connectors or wheel bearings!

Guess when you have a bike with all the electronics on it like the trophy there's going to be a little glitch once in a while Nothing's perfect, ( but the trophy is damm close lol )

I've written about this before.  I had the same problem way back in October 2013.  There is a known problem with the shift sensor on a number of Triumph models, including the Trophy.  There is a TSB on it but I don't recall the number.  It did not rise to the level of a recall.  But if you tell your dealer there was a TSB issued sometime before October 2013 he should have no trouble finding it.  I knew about it because my brother is a Triumph dealer in Upstate New York and he actually went to the trouble of researching the matter. I had to tell my local Houston dealer the TSB number because he was too lazy to look.

Where can I find a TSB # for the Gear Position Sensor. I'm going in next week for the 1st year service.I have recently experienced a intermittent fail to shift in the 3-2-1 range, and would like a number for ref if needed. Thanks Dick!

I'm not sure the issue you describe is the same as the gear shift sensor because with the sensor failure the bike will still shift. The electronics just don't know it. However I'll call my brother tomorrow and get the TSB number from him.
