I'm ready to go again.
« on: March 25, 2015, 03:06:12 pm »
Im ready to ride again. I have this itch all over me after going into the garage a few days ago and starting the bike up for the 1st time this year :)  What a rush. So then I stared at all the buttons I had to learn last year. Well, I had to learn them all again.

Not very warm in Toronto yet, but I did see two bikers riding last friday (20 march) when it was about 8c and another one yesterday (24 march) when it was 2c (Eeeeek)..  I don't ride below double digits.

Last summer I installed the Zumo 660 gps bracket. What a job that was. broke clips, lost clips but didn't have any parts left over. It took me 6 hours and 4 beer. see the pic of my bike after having to remove all that stuff to install it.  Oh yes, and it's a blue one.

Hi ColinM,

Just 1 beer every hour and a half seems a bit conservative !  :745:   :030:

Just be careful not to strain those connections on the back of the Glove box !  :169:

As a native of (but glad to be an ex-resident of) the state on the opposite side the lake from you I can sympathize with the weather.  This week doesn't look good but it shouldn't be long!

Hi Colin.... I hope you were doing other work as well... I certainly don't remember having to expose anything like that much of my Trophy to install my GPS even when I spliced into the speaker wires to get an audio out! LOL  :008:

Glad to hear that the time is close for you guys being able to ride again. I just couldn't imagine, being here in Florida is 365 days a year riding  :152:

It won't be long. Most years I'd be right there with you, but for some reason I'm not overly excited about getting on the bike. For one thing the weather has been awful. The other is that we have an upcoming move and it seems to dominate my entire existence. Working to keep the house looking good during the selling process, packing and organizing, etc. I'm really looking to the move when I can get back to normal. Very weird.
My mother asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I said "a biker". She said I'd have to choose one or the other.

Hi Bludy L,

I'm with you on the House move thing  :172:

I'm betting that the new place will have a much nicer garage though  :028:   :001:

Never moved BudyL, we always add bits to the house, been here over 40 years so accumulated a lot of junk we have never been under pressure to evaluate!

Hope it all goes well and you get your knees in da breeze asap!

Later
