    ... and another Dutchman

    Good day dear Trophy-Friends,

My name is Henk and I am living in the Netherlands. You might call me "Happy-Henk" as I traded my '12 Sprint GT for a '14 SE. I was sick and tired of my GT's Pacific blue so I chose a Lunar Silver beauty. Forget about being fast or slow; at my age that is totally unimportant. I started motorcycling in 1965 on a '55 NSU Max, followed by another one ('60), a '62 Norton 88, a '64 Norton Atlas, a '60 BMW R50, a '72 Suzuki T500, a '73 T150V Trident (Meriden), a '78 Yamaha XS 750D, a '98 Sprint Executive, a '00 Trophy-4, a '00 Trophy 900, a '06 Tiger 955i, a '12 Sprint GT and from next week the Trophy. My wife Anneke and me like to make longdistance trips into countries like Germany, Belgium, France, Italy and the UK. We intend to tow the bike on a trailer with our camper into Andalusia (Spain) during wintertime.
I registered on this forum one year and a week ago and I am grateful to some members from Germany and the US who gave me some specific information of their experience with the Trophy. I agree with all of who appreciate this forum in many ways. Allow me to give a special thanks to Coconut because of the energy he puts into this forum. If I ever meet him over here I 'll buy him a vast quantity of real beer of continental quality instead of this "Lancaster stuff". Other Trophy riders welcome too!

    Henk

:400: to the forum.  Interesting assortment of bikes from shortly after my start in motorcycling.  I had a '68 Norton Commando that was a fun ride.  :821:

Hi Henk and welcome to the gang  :821: The trip to Spain sounds good with the camper. Try to get to Salamanca a beautiful City and well worth a slight detour. :062:
    It wasn't me !!

Hi Ebenezer, :400: and Congratulations on your new purchase !

I have fond, but fading memories of visiting your fine Country many years ago,
and spending an evening wiith friends in a Bar called "t'Deurtje" in Noordwijk.  :169:

I was especially grateful to the Bar staff who found me a proper English Pint glass to use,
and managed to fill it FULL of Amstel, instead of that strange Dutch tradition
of two thirds beer & one third froth !

    Cheers !  :821:
