Great!  Finally a legitimate option for the Trophy.  Utopia's are supposed to have an excellent reputation.  I have a Back Up that came off the K16 when I traded it and only need to make a template and send it in to them to make the base and install the backrest.  Just never got around to figuring out just what to use for the template.  Other things kind of got in the way - I know, I know, what could possibly be worth getting in the way of anything to do with the bike.  :153:

I sent the rear seat to them and they made all the necessary hardware etc.  because I was the first to send them a seat they discounted the backrest. Out the door was $180. I have not rode the bike yet (20 degrees ) with it on. But I did adjust the backrest and it feels real nice.

If they are in line with the other Utopia models, they will be in the $225-$250 plus any options you might want to add, like quick removable feature, etc.  The Bakup's are much more expensive than Utopia.

Hi Rodman4106, and :400: to the Club !

Thanks for letting us know about this new product -
Is that backrest removable so the seat can still be used by a pillion if the need should arise ?

Have you got any Photo's of it fitted on your Trophy,
rather than just the stock Photo from the manufacturer's web site ??

Also, have you seen that we have a New Members Section of the Forum
where New Members can introduce themselves and their new Trophy ?

Cheers  :821:

I used Utopia backrests on my Wings and my Kawasaki Vaquero. Utopia was the best of the others I have used. Great to see them making one for the Trophy. Barry

You can use the optional quick detach mounting bracket with the Utopia according the website, and then it is easy to remove when necessary.  They have an accessory and options page with other goodies available.  Their prices seem pretty reasonable compared to others that make similar products.  I think on the website it states that if you want to pay them to mount it that service is only available from October to March.  I think they may be out riding all summer.  :008:

I installed the Utopia with the quick out option today and it was actually a very simple process.  I thought I might need an upholstery shop to re-staple the cover, but no, my manual staple gun and 1/4" long staples did the trick.  The directions say to get a friend to compress the foam to install the cover piece where the receiver comes through the cover, but naturally I took the hard way out and dit it myself and it wasn't an impossible task.  Looks good, feels nice, can't wait to ride tomorrow. :046:
