Riding Dutchman
« on: March 29, 2015, 02:22:53 pm »
My name is Arend and I am the proud owner of a Triumph Trophy since 2014.   Have 2 other motorcycles : KZ 750(Spectre) from 1982. By buying my Trophy my dream came through. The excellent windprotection and  comfort were the reasons to buy one and of course the excellent engine of the trophy with its nice sound. I am using this bike for daily work and holidays and every day enjoying more my Trophy. Only worried of the engine noise especially around 3000r.  Accordingto my dealer it cant damage my engine and it will probably solved by changing the cilinderhead on 16.000 km. I hope so. Furtheron I am very happy with my new trophy and looking forward to  meet  you on the european roads ( or may be the US or Canadian roads).

Hello there and welcome to the forum! :400:

The Trophy is an excellent bike that will provide you lots of rewarding enjoyment!

I am alarmed that you think there is a noise and that your dealer says it will be fixed with changing the cylinder head at 16,000km...

As a 2014 bike I would have expected it to have the updated head that our early bikes were called back for. I don't have any alarming noise at any rev range so I would certainly expect the dealer to do more than say we will fix it a year or two down the line!
Triumph Trophy! Not for every Tomaz, Dieter or Herman!🇬🇧
