Actually, it might not be a bad fit for BMW.

BMW could continue to build their range of bikes for third world applications and for those riders who don't know any better, Triumph would then build BMW's range of Premium Motorcycles and BMW would gain access to modern (i.e. post WWII) engine technology.

Sounds like a plan!
