Sat 4th April short notice ride
« on: April 03, 2015, 08:15:14 pm »
Hi
Checked the weather and looking ok for tomorrow. Decided to set off early up to Hartside. I will take the route up to scotch corner over to Barnard castle, Alston then up to Hartside. Probably there around 10 10.30. Back down via Penrith, shap Devils bridge to Harrogate. If anyone fancy a coffee let me know or just meet up. I will stay at the cafe about 1 hour.

Hi Ralph would have been up for this but laid up with flu for last few days. A right pain.
Have a good day.

HI David

Hope you get the flu sorted, missing good riding days. :110:

Back home now 236mile trip. Hartside was good, quietish but looking at getting busy. Sun came out as you know. Dropped down via Penrith over Shap, kendal then went along the sea front at Morecambe  :745: Watched the traffic lights change.  Had a bite to eat at the "highwayman Pub" near Tunstall. Lot of Harleys out meeting at Hornby. That looked a good spot. Will have to try that again.
Bike ran like a dream.

Yesterday did Caen -> Angers, poured down all day..  Only thing wet was my gloves..

Today Angers -> St Gilles croix de Vie -> La Baule  (Bloody cold)

Tomorrow La Baule - > Fougeres, I hope it warms up.  The bike has been great though.  Only thing I have noticed though, is the ABS supposed to work all the time at any speed cos I hadnt noticed it do so before this trip, but it certainly is now.

thanks
