20, 000 mile service
« on: April 09, 2015, 09:03:42 pm »
Just asking if anyone in UK has had a 20,000 mile service carried out and how much they were charged?

Just had a 20,000 mile service done the other week. £350.00 including new plugs & rear brake pads.

Cheers

That's a damned site cheaper than the 10,000 service I had done. I think you did okay.

£908!

Had extra to 20000 service:
Pair of PR4's
New front brake pads
Two valve shims

Winged about the price but it's all part of warranty piece of mind.

That sounds a good price considering what the 20,000 service involves. Did they check everything on the list?

Just out of interest if you don't mind where did you get it done. I use A1Moto York. They have been a good dealer for me.

Well seadog I was told they did everything on the list and the bike felt great after the service but I have only used Newcastle Triumph twice so building my confidence in them.

They had the bike three days and would only give me a courtesy bike if I returned it each night, PITA!

I did get a quote from the dealer in York and Edinburgh with marginal price difference so supported my local dealer.

Thanks for the update. I will most likely stay with A1Moto York. They have dealt me well and always been a help.

But it is good to see the difference in price for a set service. But you may always have the extras if items are wearing out. I have nearly 18,000 now it is due its annual in May so should be near the mileage mark for the full service.
Just replaced front tyre and I serviced the brakes myself and replaced the back pads.
When everything is running spot on it is a bit worrying when you take it for service and hope it comes back out the same or better  :008:

Cost me £388 for a 10k service and that was with no extras so you got a bargain at £350 for a 20k.... have been told the 20k will be around £800 at Performance Triumph Cheltenham
